Marianne has served as program coordinator of the Honda-Ohio State Partnership since 2003, with a focus on development of the Honda-Ohio State Math Medal award to promote STEM education and engineering as a career choice. The Math Medal was introduced to central Ohio high schools in 2004, and was expanded to southwestern Ohio in 2009.
She also coordinates the Honda scholarship program, which is the group of math medal recipients who receive scholarships to attend The Ohio State University's College of Engineering. More than 2,000 high school seniors have received the math medal award in the past 13 years and 192 of those recipients were awarded the Honda scholarship. Marianne received the Honda-Ohio State Partnership award in 2011, in recognition of the math medal and scholarship programs’ success.
In addition, Marianne manages continuing education at OSU’s Center for Automotive Research (CAR) and has nearly 20 years of experience teaching technical and business communications at Columbus State Community College and North Central State in Mansfield.
