The 20th anniversary was celebrated with a panel discussion and impact report

The Honda - Ohio State Partnership, formed as a result of the establishment and evolution of the Transportation Research Center, marked its 20th anniversary with a virtual panel discussion and the release of an impact report highlighting some of the stories from this successful university-industry collaboration.

The Honda - Ohio State Partnership is focused on three strategic pillars: research, talent and community. Each provides a solid foundation for a holistic relationship that is focused on developing a strong, talented workforce and solving complex problems that help improve lives. The impact report explores some of the stories through these pillars, as well as the history and numbers behind the partnership.

On Tuesday, Oct. 12, a group of leaders came together for a lively panel discussion celebrating the past, present and future of the partnership and its impact on the region. Panelists included: Kristina Johnson, PhD, Ohio State President; David B. Williams, PhD, Monte Ahuja Endowed Dean's Chair and Dean of the College of Engineering; Rick Schostek, Executive Vice President, American Honda Motor Company; Brett Roubinek, President and CEO, Transportation Research Center; Deborah Scherer, Managing Director of Global Trade and Investment, One Columbus; and panel moderator, Eddie Pauline, Director of Economic Engagement at Ohio State.
